This video documents both sides of the RNC protesting issue.gnooze internet reporter and crew attend illegal street protest, disrupting the community, costing thousands in taxpayer dollars for extra police patrols that would normally be used to protect their very right to protest in a lawful manner and when they refuse to disperse the area when asked to by law enforcement, they and other protesters are forced to disperse via tear gas.Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008, was just another day that our law enforcement community stepped up to protect every protesters right to assemble, to be heard and to express their views. Instead, many protesters began the day aggressively protesting against our police officers while spending less of their time actually protesting against the RNC.American's have every right to protest in a lawful manner, but the protesters that were forcibly dispersed in this video were not within the law; it is an indisputable fact and that is not the issue here, the issue is about reporting facts instead of an apparent politically motivated idea and labeling that as news, or journalism.Is America a police state? You be the judge, but according to their own footage in the video, America is, or is becoming a police state and I happen to strongly disagree with that notion.My question is, were the protesters using the RNC as camouflage to attack their real target, our law enforcement community? And had they succeeded in conquering them, who, or what would be next? In my opinion, they were undoubtedly focusing aggression towards our officers.I have no animosity towards gnooze and I'm glad they were not injured while our law enforcement officials were busy keeping the peace on our streets and in our community.With journalism and reporting comes great responsibility and to only report what you personally see, feel, or what appears on a video, without any other readily available, informative information is by all accounts irresponsible and in my opinion, poor journalistic behavior.I also think that gnooze would appreciate having their footage displayed in this manner as the viewer can decide and judge for themselves instead of having to extensively research the events that took place. I will gladly remove this video if requested, or report it and have it removed that way. It was not my intention to abuse the footage or skew the facts one way or another.I've balanced the riot footage with a dose of reality from both perspectives.
