"I was born 1901 and in 1918, I was dying of the Spanish influenza. My doctor, Carlisle, was tending to both my mother and father and he said that it was my mother's last wish for him to keep me alive and the only way to do that was to transform me into a vampire." His hands clenched into tight fists, revealing the white knuckles that lay beneath. I looked down, now regretting ever asking such a question. I was at a loss of words. I then felt his ice cold hand on my shoulder. "You didn't know..C'mon," he held out his hand,"You should meet your savior." He flashed a radiant smile and I took his hand. "Carlisle," called Edward. "In here," replied a soothing voice. Before I knew it, Edward was all the way down the hall. He motioned his head, beckoning me over to him. We entered the dark room and I saw a tall, blonde man sitting behind a mohagany desk [A/N:I dont remember if Carlilse had a desk or not XD]. "Carlisle, this is Blake. Blake, this is Carlisle, the man who saved your life." Carlisle chuckled and stood up,"Nice to meet you Blake. Welcome to the family," he held out his hand and I shook it. "So, do you remember what happened before Edward found you?" I completely blanked out. What had happened? "Uhh...Honestly, I don't remember...sorry..,"I answered apologetically. "I was expecting that. Very few vampires remember their last few moments as a mortal.."Although the room was lit by a single candle, I could see Carlisle's friendly, golden eyes sparkling. He seemed nice..."Well, I better introduce you to everyone else so, sorry to interrut you Carlisle." He grabbed my hand and start pulling me towards the door. "Hi," said a voice. I turned to see who had greeted me..or Edward and saw a small, pixie like girl standing there with as wide grin stretched across her face.
