Chapter 32 Part 1:*Kims POV*Everyone got changed and brought tons of pillows and blankets into the living room, making it impossible to see the floor. Nick called Ashley and she came over to join us, that way Nick wouldnt be the fifth wheel and we could have three couples. Last time I saw Ashley, she kept giving me this look like she was going to bite my head off if I talked to Nick, but tonight it was different. It was like she kept looking at me like she was sorry for me. I could not figure that girl out, so I just let it go.Anyway, each couple picked a movie. Nick and Ashley picked first, and we watched a scary movie. I was clinging onto Joe the whole time, not that he seemed to mind. Then Julie and Kevin picked a comedy, which was actually pretty funny. By the end of it though, everyone had fallen asleep. Ashley had fallen asleep leaning on Nicks chest and he had his arm around her. Kevin was leaning on a stack of pillows and Julie fell asleep with her arm around his stomach. Joe and I were the only ones awake since we kept laughing at the movie. He had planned on watching some Barney movie next and was a little disappointed. We decided to go to sleep as well. He laid down on a pillow and I laid down next him so I was facing him. Eventually we both drifted off to sleep.Sometime in the middle of the night, I woke up to some noises coming from the kitchen. I peeked up over the couch to see if I could see someone was in the kitchen, but I couldnt. It was really dark in the living room, so I couldnt really tell if everyone was there either. I turned over to look at Joe, but was a little surprised when he wasnt next to me."That boy cant even sleep through the night without eating." I thought to myself.I got up figuring that I would see what Joe was up to in the kitchen. It took me a few minutes to sneak through the maze of blankets and pillows that covered the floor. There was hardly any room to walk. I didnt want to wake anyone up, so I quietly tiptoed past them. I walked towards the kitchen, but there were no lights on. I walked around the counter so I could see fully into the kitchen, and could still hear Joe fumbling around. It sounded like he was in the silverware drawer. There was a single streak of moonlight coming through the window, but I squinted my eyes to try and adjust them to the darkness. I was able to make out Joes shape in the dark corner. He must have been cold because he was wearing the hood of his sweatshirt."Hey." I whispered. "What? Couldnt go without a midnight snack?"I stood there waiting for Joe to answer me, but there was nothing. I took a few steps forward so I was the standing near the only light coming from the window."Joe? Are you alright?" I whispered, a little louder, thinking that maybe he didnt hear me. He turned around, but I still couldnt really see him. I could see he was holding something."What ya got there?" I asked as I leaned up against the counter.He moved what he was holding and the moonlight shined on it. My eyes got wide as a saw that he was holding a HUGE, and very sharp, kitchen knife."Joe w-what, uh" Without second thought I tore off Joes hood, only to find that it was NOT Joe."D-D-David?" I could barely get the word out.He had a devilish grin on his face as he tightened his grip on the knife, causing it to shimmer in the moonlight. My eyes darted between the knife and David as I started to stumble backwards. I wanted to scream for help so badly, but every time I tried, I had no voice. I was paralyzed with fear. My heart was pounding so hard I thought it was going to burst out of my chest. He just kept grinning at me. Finally, I gathered enough courage to turn and run. As soon as I started to turn David tightly grabbed my arm and pulled me back so I was within inches of his face.He laughed and evil laugh as he said "Miss me?"All of a sudden I saw him reach his hand back with the knife, holding it over me. He started to plunge the knife towards me. I closed my eyes tightly as I felt the cold metal slice into my stomach. The pain was overwhelming. David slowly let go of my arm. I opened my eyes and looked at him as he was laughing at me. I put my hands on my stomach and felt a warm liquid, so looked down and saw that I was covered in blood. I started to feel dizzy and weak and fell to my knees. After a few seconds I collapsed to the floor and everything went black.OMJ!! Now that's what I call a cliffhanger. Is Kim dead? What will happen? Will David get away?
