Here is a fast and accurate way of recording daily expenses. All you need is a cheap exercise book, a pen, a piece of string and some sticky tape. Tie the pen to the exercise book (This stops it "disappearing" in a busy household). Put everything just inside the front door. Date the pages. When you come in fron the shop, paste the till slip in the book and make short notes if you want to. You will end up with a day to day record of what you spend - with all the slips. What! No computer? You can put information into a spreadsheet or what ever later. The big advantage is that you will have the original slips and details. Let's beat the Credit Crunch!
