This is a step performance by the Men of the Iota Youth Alliance at Gainesville High School sponsored by the Gamma Omicron Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.The IOTA Youth Alliance is a national umbrella program through which individual chapters of Iota Phi Theta address the needs of Black Youth in their communities. Under the auspices of the Alliance, chapters either work with existing organizations or create new ones based on the requirements and available resources in their locality. In order to insure continuity, each of the Fraternity's chapters is strongly encouraged to prioritize youth alliance activities as a part of their programmatic thrust. The Youth Alliance is especially important because it allows the Fraternity to make a national impact while maintaining ties to those causes and organizations with whom it has had historical relationships.Outside of stepping, the Gamma Omicron Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. conducts programs such as, but not limited to: college tours, shadow days, SAT/FCAT Test prep, counseling , and sponsored-professional speakers. Consequently, our chapter, in conjunction with this program, hopes to reduce the disparities in collegiate acceptance of minority males in addition to building stronger prospective applicants for post-secondary education.

Hmmm. There after doing some serious number crunching it seems there is a disparity between ratings and comments. Seems that the majority of people seem to be rating 4-5 stars while the majority of the comments are just full of shit. (seriously, we sound nothing like Hugo weaving) Seems that the newfags don't know that burying the rating actually effects search results while trolling comments just makes you look like an idiot.Regards to the voice: I actually didn't do the voice, I only recorded and edited it. The person in the suit and mask is my co-worker. Originally it was just doing to be a severed head but I couldn't matte the head out very well in test footage so we said fuck it and stuff a mask on it.Many have asked so I will say here: If you want to take the audio or video and remix/splice/parody/troll it there is nothing stopping you to do so; my permission is irrelevant.P.S. When we originally planned this video it was suppose to be a joke, we'll try and push the humour more in any future videos we do.

Video highlighting the dangers of rail crossings in New Zealand and the huge disparity in safety practices between workplaces and public places. Employers cannot expose workers to the kind of risks found at level crossings, so why should it be acceptable for the un-trained public to be exposed to them.

Still when, to where thou wert, I came,Some lovely glorious nothing did I see. But since my soul, whose child love is,Takes limbs of flesh, and else could nothing do, More subtle than the parent isLove must not be, but take a body too ; And therefore what thou wert, and who, I bid Love ask, and nowThat it assume thy body, I allow,And fix itself in thy lip, eye, and brow.Whilst thus to ballast love I thought, And so more steadily to have gone, With wares which would sink admiration,I saw I had love's pinnace overfraught ; Thy every hair for love to work uponIs much too much ; some fitter must be sought ; For, nor in nothing, nor in thingsExtreme, and scattering bright, can love inhere ; Then as an angel face and wingsOf air, not pure as it, yet pure doth wear, So thy love may be my love's sphere ; Just such disparityAs is 'twixt air's and angels' purity,'Twixt women's love, and men's, will ever be.

Since the renaissance, the Judeo-Christian West has been the pre-eminent civilisation. History charts the rise and fall of civilisations so, where is the West on the timeline? We have so much luxury that we suffer from affluenza. Were so cynical we sue each other for profit. Were all working so much longer and harder to earn more to pay for more that were weary of our treadmill material lifestyles. Aggressive secularity has relegated religion to irrelevance and religion is fighting back with fundamentalism. So, after all the triumph and tragedy, the success and anguish, has the West peaked? As China and India revitalise their civilisations using the very systems that made the West the best, are we destined to be under new management?Open Pandoras Box for DECADENCE a landmark theatrical documentary that will be simple, confronting and powerful a lush essay on the unravelling of our rules and certainties. But it is also a call to action to stop our meaningless drift by revaluing the things that are the West at its best. Tolerance. Inquiry. Dissent. Discipline. Undaunted imagination. Freedom.Part one examines the growing greed of society and the 80's ideal that greed is good. It also looks at the growing disparity between rich and poor. The goal of every culture is to decay through over-civilisation; the factors of decadence luxury, skepticism, weariness and superstition are constant. The civilization of one epoch becomes the manure of the next.Cyril Connolly The Unquiet GraveThe first part of an excellent six part series which examines modern life and considers the impact of our relentlessly changing world upon key values that used to make western society something to aspire to.Each episode is packed with pearls of wisdom and a lot of food for thought.Concepts are well presented with rational arguments and good examples - helping to justify the often disappointing new realities it reveals.Join Pria Viswalingam, as he considers whether we are now completely bogged down in a mire of meaningless self-indulgence, and whether we do really need iPods, plasma screen TVs, Brazilian waxes and self-navigating 4WDs to achieve happiness. He asks if family incomes have never been higher in the western world, property values are soaring, if conspicuous consumption and material wealth have never been so evident, why are we so unhappy? In an era of Idol, Big Brother and mid-show ads on SBS, Decadence stands out as a work of substance, not cynicism. Intellectuals, academics, politicians and religious leaders weigh in on the topics of money, sex, democracy, education, family and God.As the East races to emulate the West, Viswalingam says his arguments will become even more relevant. "The East, for all its other measures - strong communities, strong family - they're becoming like us," he says. "That's the darkness, the sadness. Even if you fix all this, China and India are coming online.I mean, we already work the longest hours. What happened to that ideal of the 35-hour week?"I've had arguments upon arguments with old journo friends who say, 'What are you talking about? This is a great life.' I say, 'I've got mortgages up to my eyeballs. I am working longer and harder to earn more to pay for more. How is that the Western ideal?' And I know that's only going to get more and more as we globalise. Look, this is my soapbox. I'm putting it up there as an essay and I want people to disagree.I just want to raise a flag and say, 'Does anybody else feel like me?'The documentary is Australian, but applies to all western countries.
