Chapter 30:*Kim's POV*I walked in my house after my date with Joe and was all smiles. Nothing could ruin tonight. I couldnt make a serious face no matter what I tried. I sat down on my couch replaying everything that happened and touched the locket around my neck. I was in the middle of my thoughts when I saw headlights flash through my front window. I peeked outside and saw that Kevin was dropping Julie off. I went into my room to give them some privacy. After a minute I heard Julie call for me."Kim? In the middle of some joke Julie was telling, my phone rang. I picked it up and answered it."Hello?""Hello. My name is Officer Tim Johnson, and I am calling from the police department. Is this Kimberly Williams?" My smile immediately faded."Who is it?" Julie asked. I held up my hand, meaning for her to give me a second."Yes, this is Kimberly." I said into the phone."Well Kimberly, I have notice to inform you for your safety that a David Anderson was bailed out from jail tonight at 6:00." The officer said.I looked at the clock, which said 11:00. "That was five hours ago, and you are telling me now? He could be anywhere at this point." I started to get a little worried."Yes, I am very sorry, but sometimes these things get delayed. He is not seen as threat to you as long as you are with someone. Are you alone now?" the officer asked."No, I'm not. May I ask who bailed him out?" It had better not have been Johnny."I'm sorry, that is confidential information. As long as you are with someone, you should be safe. If there are any emergencies, you can always call the police.""Okay. Thank you." I hung up the phone and stared at it. This was definitely one way to ruin my night."Who got bailed out? Kim, what is going on?" Julie asked me.I didnt want to ruin her night, she seemed so happy from her date with Kevin, so I thought about not telling her. "Oh, it was n—""Don't you tell me its nothing, missy. That was not a happy phone call, so tell me whats going on." Julie demanded. She was waving an ice cream scoop in my face, and who can argue with that?I sighed. "Somebody bailed David out of jail.""That stupid little piece of sh—""Jewlz! Its okay. The police said I would be fine as long as I'm not alone, and you are here, so its all good."
