Luther Vandross (1951-2005)was not that popular in my country, although I have been a major fan since 1980 with his smash : "NEVER TOO MUCH". He died in 2005, too young and I'm not really that emotional, but I cried when he died. He has been there for me for years... and I mean that, since I was probably the only one in my town who ever listened to Luther Vandross. Hard to understand, but I guess it has something to do with the local music industry. Luther was just seemingly banned from any radiostation, except Ferry Maat's soulshow in Holland.I used this song to interprete my BIBLE EXPERIENCE, since I think Luther Vandross and I have a lot to talk about when we see each other behind that golden gate. Oh I hope many people understand what I mean. I think Luther never took advantage of his position of a man who was adored by so many women. Some say he was gay. I don't know about that... and sincerely... I don't want to know. I think he was straight and I will cherish his music as part of my experience with the Creator. Fact of the matter is that he had some songs openly admiring the wonders of God. Nobody is perfect, only Jesus was perfect. I really hope God blesses you with the reward of eternal life, Luther.
