More To Life Episode 21[Natalie's POV]I couldn't believe it. Joe had cheated on Denise with my best friend. She had rushed out, and her brother had pushed her away from the oncoming truck, only to get hit and killed himself. Joe. Denise. Nicole. My best friends. I shook my head. It was all too much. Too much for me to bear. I ran away, trying to run away from everything. I had just patched it up with Nick after the worst period in my life, and now all these problems were cropping up! I sped up. WHY CAN'T ALL THIS TROUBLE JUST ERASE ITSELF?![Nick's POV]I wanted to kill Joe. HOW DARE HE?! Cheat on Denise with NICOLE?! Grr. I swear I'm gonna get that guy. I was raging noiselessly when suddenly, Natalie took off, running down and out of the hospital. "Natalie! Natalie, what's wrong?!" I shouted after her, and hurried to catch up with her. Finally, when we had reached the sidewalk near the park, I caught up with her and grabbed her arm. "Natalie?" It came out as a question as I panted. She slowly shook her head and slid down onto the pavement on her knees. I kneeled down beside her. "What's wrong, Natalie?!" I asked urgently. What had happened to her? She finally spoke after much shaking, "I can't take it anymore, Nick. Everything just went right and now it's becoming wrong again!" She wailed. My heart crumbled to see her like this. I was afraid that she was going to have a nervous breakdown. She had too much on her shoulders already! "Look, Natalie, I know that everything's not going the way we wanted it to be, but it's only life. We can't do anything about it. We just have to... deal with it." I tried to comfort her, but I knew I wasn't doing a very good job.[AN: Okay, so I'm not ending this chapter, but I just thought that this song would fit this theme really nicely! It's Only Life by Kate Voegele-love her!!]"Don't look away, don't run away, baby, it's only life. Don't lose your faith, don't run away, baby, it's only life."[Natalie's POV]I nodded, swallowing. How stupid can I be?! I wiped away the tears; Nick hugged my waist. Then suddenly, I stiffened. "What's wrong?" Nick asked, feeling me freeze. I pointed to the park. "Isn't that..." I squinted at the person in the park. "JOE?!" He gasped and looked to where my finger pointed. "Wait, what's he doing here?!" Nick spoke furiously, getting up and walking to Joe. When we got closer, I saw a girl come up to him and now, it was my turn to speed up, wanting to bash the two of their noses into their heads. "NICOLE!!" I shouted, running to them. The two of them looked up at me and Nick, breaking apart from their smoochfest. "JOE! I can't believe you!" Nick scolded him. Joe looked down, guilty. I went and pushed his face right up to face me. "Look, mister, I can't believe you're doing this to Denise. What has she done to deserve this?! Nothing! What did she do to not deserve this?! Everything! She LOVED you, Joe! And now, when she's crying in the hospital, you're cheating on her, AGAIN! Especially with this... this SKANK!!" I shrieked, pointing to my once-best friend. Her eyes fell and she stood up, trying to tell me, "I'm not-I swear, Natalie, I'm sor-" "Oh no, you're not saying SORRY to ME! You USED to be my best friend, but I'm sorry. I don't even friend lying, backstabbing TRAITORS right now!" I shouted and looked away. Nick stepped up beside me and put both his hands on my shoulders. "She's right." I felt his fingers dig into me. I looked up at his face and saw how hard he was trying to control not punching Nicole in the face cos' that picture would probably appear on the front cover of all the magazines tomorrow. "I swear, if I see you guys again, I'm gonna kill you."[Joe's POV]Nick threatened, giving both Nicole and me cold glares. I sighed when the two of them went away. What wrong did I do besides fall in love with some other girl besides my girlfriend? Remembering Denise, I answered my own question: Everything."If I were a boy, I think I could understand what it feels to love a girl. I swear I'd be a better man.
