[Cassies POV]Joe: do you trust me?I stood there looking into his eyes. I studied him for a while as I thought to myself about his question. And oddly enough I did.Joe: close your eyes.Cass: youve lost it.Joe: you trust me remember.I sighed and closed my eyes. He pulled me towards him and I felt him wrap his arms around me. They were strong and he had a firm grip on me. He rested his head on my shoulders and whispered in my ear.Joe: I wont let anything happen to you.I nodded my head. I believed him. I felt so safe. His warm embrace shielded me from the crisp cold air.Joe: open your eyes.I hesitantly opened my eyes. It was amazing. We were so close to the edge it felt as if we were floating in the air. I looked out to the horizon. The vast ocean looked like it ended against the skyline.Joe: told you Id take you to the end of the world.I turned up to look at him and couldnt help but smile. He smiled back and I turned my attention to what was in front of me. It was something out of a movie. Something you could only dream of.Cass: its beautiful.Joe: I love coming out here to think.This boy does a lot of thinking. And he always finds the most amazing places. First the park under the stars and now this. I felt inspired. I wanted to come back and paint this.Joe: you know, we can go to the store, get you a couple of supplies, and come back when the sun sets.Ok he reads minds too?Cass: why?Joe: I want you to paint this. So I can frame it and put it in my room.Cass: why?I turned my attention back to him and he looked down at me. He still had his arms wrapped around me but I didnt mind. He shrugged his shouldersJoe: well why not?I laughed and pulled out from his embrace. I turned to look at him.Cass: then lets go.I ran towards the car and I heard him yell and run after me. Ive never felt so free in my life. It was nice to just do whatever for a change. He finally caught up to me and was out of breath.Cass: what not in shape?[AN: remember ch. 15.2 Joe told her the same thing..no? ok NVM lol]Joe: funny. Now lets go find an art store or something.Cass: good cuz Im low on supplies.We got to the store grabbed the supplies I needed and was in line to pay. Joe ran off to who knows where and I was about to pay when he came up to me with a pilgrim hat.Joe: hey cass look.I turned around and he was smiling huge with that stupid hat. I instantly blushed because other people in the store began to laugh at how stupid he looked.Joe: Im soooo buying this.I laughed and he added it to the bill. I went down to my purse but he stopped me.Joe: my treat. I thanked him and he paid. On the way out I took the hat and put it on his head.Cass: its a good look for you.Joe: anything looks good on me.Cass: that ego!He laughed and we went back to the pier. Since we still had a while until the sun set we went to the little shops [lets just say there at Santa Monica where there is like a carnival type thing.] we played at the games, beat each other up in the bumper cars, and even rode the roller coaster after literally 20 minutes of Joe trying to convince me that I was not going to fall and die. The sun was now beginning to set and I was exhausted.Joe: how about some ice cream?Cass: sure.We got our ice cream and made our way back to the spot in the pier. He sat down and let his legs dangle over the edge. I sat kind of behind him and pulled out my water colors and a bottle of water I bough earlier. I set my brushes at my side and took out my new notebook. I began to paint. It was so peaceful and relaxing. This whole day Joe helped me forget about everything. He even got me to get over some of my fears and brought me out of my shell. With him I was fearless.-------------I didnt like the ending on this one lol. These chapters Im doing it REAL slow so you can see all the little moments that have together. I want you guys to really get into their relationship. Tell me what you think!
