More To Life Episode 19Lol, I know I said this episode would come out in two weeks' time, but I'm just bored, and when I'm bored (which is pretty often, so good for you! haha) I churn out alot of episodes. ;)Recap: I thought in mournful sorrow, awaiting the truck to hit me in a matter of nano-seconds when suddenly, I was pushed out of the way.[Joe's POV]I turned around to the source of the commotion and saw Denise standing there, a crumpled expression on her face. I felt so bad, my mind reeling back to the time when I had overheard Denise telling Nick that she was scared, outside the house. "Denise, Denise, I swear-I'm sorry, I-" I got cut off by her as she ran down the street. I hurried to chase after her, ignoring Nicole's protests. Denise didn't deserve this. I knew that I loved Nicole now, but I should have broken up with Denise instead of just dragging on with this. But when I reached the head of the street, I froze. Denise had rushed out onto the road and now, an oncoming truck was going to squish her! She turned and gave me a look that sent guilty chills down my spine. But just as she braced herself, someone pushed her out of the way. She hit her head against the side of the pavement, knocked out cold. It all moved so fast, I couldn't catch anything... I just caught a blurry figure push Denise out of the way and get hit by the truck instead. I bent down to Denise and shook her. "Denise, Denise!" What if she had hit her head badly and went into a coma? Oh gosh... all this was my fault! Gah, stupid me! I shook her more vigorously now, "DENISE!" Soon, the ambulance came--some passerby must've called them--and the paparazzi came as well. "Joe, what's wrong? What happened to Denise? What's going on with the two of you?" They asked, snapping away. I knew that this was ruining our image, but right now, I couldn't care less. Denise and the person who had gotten hit for Denise were wheeled into the back of the ambulance and I sat down next to them at the back. Suddenly remembering about Nick and Natalie--who had gone off for some crappy romantic walk on the beach--I whipped out my cell and speed-dialed Nick. "Hey man, what's up?" Nick answered, annoyed. "Come down to the hospital now!" I almost shouted into the phone, my voice breaking. "What's wrong?" His voice sounded more urgent now. "Denise almost got hit by some truck." A thud could be heard on the other end, then some scrambling. "What?! We're coming over NOW!" Beep. I had ended the call, staring at Denise. How could I do this to her?! What kind of monster was I?![Nick's POV]I grabbed Natalie's hand and walked down the beach; she leaned on my shoulder, I smiled in response. It felt so good to have her in my arms again. I missed her too much. We sat down near the waves and I leaned over to her, wanting to kiss her again. I just didn't get enough of that! But just when our lips were about to touch, my phone buzzed in my pocket. "Gah!" I muttered furiously as I answered the phone. Natalie giggled quietly. "Hey man, what's up?" I said when I saw that Joe had been calling, more than slightly irritated. Didn't he know I was with Natalie?! "Come down to the hospital now!" Hospital?! Did he break his head while goofing around the house or something?! "What's wrong?" "Denise almost got hit by some truck." The phone slid from my hand. "Nick, what's wrong?" Natalie asked, distressed. I shook my head, trying to shake out everything. My best friend almost got hit by some damn truck?! !@#$%^&*!!!!!!!! Finally noticing that I had dropped the phone and that Joe had probably thought I hung up, I quickly scrambled about in the sand, willing my fingers to move. "What?! We're coming over NOW!" I shouted urgently, my voice husky from the shock. He hung up the phone and I quickly explained everything to Natalie, pulling her along as we ran to get a cab.[Joe's POV]FINALLY!!! "Nick, come on, the doctor's almost out!" I hugged Nick and Natalie half-heartedly, then went back to my seat near the door. "Dude, what happened?" Nick asked. I gulped. I was dreading that question... "Well, I-" Yes! The doctor came out just then, distracting Nick. "Where's she? Is she okay? Did she live? What happened? Yo, answer my questions, doctor dude!" Nick shouted at him. Natalie calmed him down and he shook his head, trying to be more polite. The doctor smiled and said, "She..."HAH! CLIFFY!!! Lol.
