I had uploaded part 2 of this previously, but after a few months of sitting underneath a stack of 78's this flexible record has flattened out to such an extent that a better transfer is now possible. It's amazing that a thin colored celluloid disc such as this can even play after almost 80 years - most Filmophone records haven't aged trememdously well, and it is rare to find ones in playable condition. For some reason the first 10 seconds or so of this side are quite noisy - but the sound quality vastly improves after this, so don't lose heart! The selection of tunes on this is a pleasant surprise - a delightful 2-sided medley of 1931 hits, played by a superb British studio band under the direction of Arthur Lally.
