So this song is already uploaded... so what. It's so good that I thought I'd share it you guys again. "Nightshift" is another one of my favorites on the album by the same name. Although, Gregg is the main focus here, the guitarist tries to steal the spotlight. I really love the dynamic between the piano and guitar here. And there's a shimmery quality added with a crystalline synth that I can't quite identify (there's a ton of those sounds on keyboards). Gregg's playing is so effortless that it just makes every other jazz pianist pale in comparison. This song is just a really chill piece of piano heaven. I thought that Nightshift cover kind of echoed the cover of Steely Dan alumni Donald Fagen's 1982 album Nightfly. So I put up a pic of one of those radio dj booths with low lighting. I think it complements the song and evokes the title pretty well.
