Maggie sat in the hospital room while Jack slept. His little chest breathing in and out. Maggie couldnt help but tear up. Kevin came through the door with a smile on his face.Hey. Hows it going Kevin said taking a seat next to her. Pfft, how do you think? Its horrible. I hate this. I hate being here, and I hate having my son stay here. And why are you smiling? Maggie said looking at Kevin puzzled.Well, Joe, hes okay, and out of his comma. Im happy for him. Kevin smiled again. Maggie looked disgusted. You happy? Do you not realize that your son is dying right now! Maggie said in a whisper as not to wake Jack. And besides, your brothers a jerk! You know what he did to Rachael! I havent talked to her in years, and I found out what your brother did to her and how upset she was, through somebody else! Word gets around fast in this small town. How humiliating it was for her! I cant even believe how bad it must have felt! Maggie had bags under eyes and her face was pale, She looked ghostly as the words spilt out of her.Excuse me!? Kevin whispered. How can you say that? Hes my brother, people make mistakes! And I realize that YOUR son is not in a very good condition but I finally have good news, and Im sorry for not crying over something I cant fix!
