1978 Love Island - Late 70s work from Deodato -- quite different than his bossa organ work of the 60s, and early 70s funk sides -- but pretty darn great nonetheless! The album shows Deodato's continuing shift towards a more soul-based sound -- and it mixes together a smoother club sound with jazzier elements of earlier work, all going for a sweet groove that has plenty of traces of modern soul!
