The final part of the 1983 premiere of Sale of the Century, with the first shopping format.Sale of the Century would continue to March 24th, 1989, but Sally Julian sure didn't. She was fired after 2 months, probably because of her studdering on cue cards and that freaky, high-pitched voice of hers. She was cute, but just wasn't right for the show. Lee Menning took Julian's place, but Menning would take a leave of absence in 1984 to start a family, though she returned to television on the short-lived Your Number's Up hosted by the late Nipsey Russell in 1985. The future hostess to permanently remain would be Wheel of Fortune substitute hostess and 1975 Miss USA winner, Summer Bartholomew.
