She stopped and turned around. "What? Go ahead. Say it. Rub it in." I smiled with satisfaction and said "Well if you really want me to." She rolled her eyes and turned away from me, ready to walk away.I laughed and grabbed her arm. "I was just kidding, relax." I said, but she still seemed kind of angry at me. "Why are you mad at me? You were the one making me feel like an idiot by always shutting me down.""Well I only did that because I didnt want you to think that I was just like every other girl and crazy fan" She said quietly.I smiled. "Well I definitely dont think you are like every other girl." I said and she smiled and looked down, blushing. I continued, "I mean what girl in her right mind would reject THE Joe Jonas." She laughed and hit me playfully. "Way to ruin a moment." I smiled and she looked up at me. When I caught her eyes, I lost my breath. No girl had made me feel this way in such a short time. So I couldnt help myself. The next thing I knew, I was touching my lips to hers. The kiss was short and sweet and I felt the butterflies in my stomach the whole time. It was silent when we pulled away.Finally when she met my eyes she said, "Well, I wasnt really expecting that.""Yeah I wasn't either." I admitted. "Im sorry if it was too fast." I felt embarrassed, like I had just made a huge mistake becuase I thought that she didnt want me to do that.But my nerves subsided when she smiled and said, "No its ok. Don't be sorry." "So how about dinner Saturday?" I asked, hopeful. "Please dont say no this time.""Nah, I dont think so." She said with a serious face."What?" I asked appalled.She laughed. "I was just kidding, relax" She teased, quoting me from earlier. I let out a sigh of relief. And she continued, "I would love to go to dinner with you Saturday, Joe Jonas."~~~~Kevins P.O.V~I sat down on the porch step, knowing that Malorie would follow me. I heard the back door open and I knew she was there."Kevin, just let me explain." She spoke timidly. She sat down and I sighed, signaling for her to begin what ever story she was about to tell. I kept telling myself that I didnt care, but in reality I kind of wanted to know."You don't understand. I have to be with Justin." She began."What do you mean, you have to be with him?" I questioned.She sighed and her eyes began to water. "He scares me Kevin.""What?" I asked, my concern growing."He's abusive...verbally I mean. He threatens to hurt me when we fight. He never has hit me... but I am worried that if I ever left him that he might actually hurt me. I dont know how to escape from him." She confessed with a few tears dripping from her eyes.I was in shock. "What? Why didnt you tell me?" I asked quietly.She gave me a watery smile. "Thats not exactly something that you tell someone that you first meet." She sighed. "The last week has been awesome. I love hanging around you Kevin, because you are such an amazing person and friend. You are the highlight of my everyday. So please, please dont stop." She begged.My heart broke for her and I kissed her head. "Of course I won't. I will be here for you whenever you need me ok?"She smiled and gave me a big hug. "Thanks, Kevin." She whispered.I felt so bad for her as I was holding her in my arms. I just wanted to take away all of her problems, but I knew I shouldnt get involved. So I knew that I need to just be there for her as a friend, even though it may hurt me in the process.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Aw sad! Ok sorry that was a short chapter and kind of boring, but trust me it will get better =]] Next chapter is chapter is about the homecoming dance so it will be good!! =] anyway cuz it was a short chapter I MAY (key word may) post again tonight.
