I apologize for the video being missing, I currently do not have a video recorder for on-screen usage.We're going to start off as if you have basic CMD knowledge. By that, I mean knowing how to create .BAT files and edit them.We all know how to access Command Prompt, right? Well, sometimes that doesnt work. There are several ways that CMD can be blocked. Hopefully you have full access. Sometimes you get a pop-up saying it's been disabled. As I have not had any experience with those kinds of errors, I am sorry but I cannot aid you. I will share my "sandbox" algorithm with you, however, bypassing /my/ school's lock against CMD.Whenever I open the "black box", I get this message:"The Command Prompt has been disabled by your administrator."There's a "pause/nul" feature embedded right after that statement, and as soon as you hit a key, it goes away. Thats only when you activate the prompt itself though...I won't lie to you and tell you that you can make yourself admin at school, you must have admin rights to make others admins. Anyways, my school has bad protection. It will stop a lot of usage, but not all, and certainly not mine. How? My "Sandbox" program. This is the easy part, so I'm just going to post it. Actually, it's not the prompt so much as asking you to deliver a value. I have it so as to clear screen after you type your statement, because we dont always have our statements memorized, now do we?Anyways, to continue on, I have a program to rename files. It is relatively simple, but it isnt spread out. Above, theres the "o" statement that the user fills in. Now, we have several. Whereas there was "/p %o%=Command: " (the PERSON inserts value for "O", and whatever is after the = is what the person sees), now we shall have two. This is a totally different program, so I'm going to use O again. Instead of Option (before I changed to Command), O will be Old Filename. Also, I shall add another key -- N -- to be the New Filename.All of the IF statements except the final two are "error messages". By that, I mean that I need to know if Bob.bat doesn't exist, and I want to know if there's already a file set to what I prefer the new filename to be as.
